Beetroot rice

Ingredients:

oil-2sp
ghee-1sp
whole masala(lavang-2,star anise-2,cinnamon-2small,bay leaf-1)
mint leaves-12
onion sliced-1
ginger garlic paste-1sp
beetroots(grated)-2
tomato-1
salt
chilli powder-1sp
coriander powder-1.1/2sp
Everest sambar powder-1.1/2sp
rice-2cups

Procedure:

cook rice seperately and keep it aside.
Take a cooking pot,put oil and ghee.
once hot,add whole masala and let it cook for 30sec in medium flame.
Add pudina and let it fry,then add onions and fry and add ginger garlic paste.
once done add grated beetroot and fry for 5-6 min or till the raw smell of beetroot goes off and becomes tender.
Add tomato and salt and cook for 5-6min.
Now add coriander powder,chilli podwer and sambar powder and cook for 2 more min.
Once done then add rice and mix and adjust salt.

Its a must try recipe as the recipe is so tasty.

Note:
U can use basmati or normal rice for this dish.I tried with sonamasuri rice.its really yummy.
