carrot ravva dosa
Ingredients
Rava - 1 cup
Grated carrot - ,1 cup
Wheat flour - 1/2 cup
Maida (All purpose flour) - 1/2 cup
Pepper seeds - 1 spoon
Ginger(finely chopped) - few
Cumin seeds - 1 spoon
Onion (finely chopped) - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves (optional)
Cashewnuts (optional)
Green chillies - 4 (finely chopped)
salt - to taste
Oil
Water
Method
1.Soak 1 cup Rava in water for 10 minutes,and add 1/2 cup wheat flour and 1/2 cup maida,water & salt into it
2.Add water little by little, stirring simulatneously that no lumps are formed
3.Heat the oil in the kadai and fry cumin seeds,pepper seeds,cashewnuts.
4.And then add chopped onions,curry leaves,Green chillies & grated carrot,fry it until its brown,finally add these into the Rava mix.
5.Make sure the mixture is very thin(thinner than the dosa batter).
6.Heat the tawa (the tawa should be very hot while u are pouring the batter) and take one ladleful of mixture and spread on the tawa starting from the sides and finishing off in the middle
as rava dosa cannot be spreaded like ordinary dosa.
7.Drizzle oil in it.
8.When it becomes golden brown turn it over.
9.If the mixture becomes thick after making few dosas add little water to it.
10.Serve with sambar and chutney
