Putnala podi( for idli or rice)

Ingredients:

Putnalu(roasted chana dal)-250gm
dry red chilli-20
jeera or cumin-1tbsp
garlic pods-2sp
salt
tamarind-1/2lemon size

procedure:
-------------
Dry roast cumin for 1/2min and keep aside.
Dry roast red chillies also for 2-3min and keep aside.
Dry roast putnalu for 2min .
Be careful not to burn any ingredient.
Blend all the ingredients,roasted ones and the remaining into fine powder.

serve with hot idli  and ghee or with hot rice.
