Gari(vada)

Ingredients:
Urad dal(whole)-1cup
salt

Procedure:

  • soak urad dal overnight or 7-8hrs,wash it thrice.
  • blend it in wet grinder or in mixi by using very less water.add salt.
  • Take a plastic sheet,clean it with water and place it on ur palm.
  • Dip ur hand in water and take lemon size dough, place it on the plastic sheet , make it flat , place a hole in the middle of that,take it slowly and deep fry.
  • Again clean the plastic cover and repeat the same procedure as above.
Note:-Batter should be tight enough.dont use more water during grinding.just sprinkle little bit of water at a time and grind it.
Tips:
U can add chopped onions and green chillies in the dough...
